Jordy, born in Edmonton in 1979, obtained his Trade Qualification in sheet metal fabrication from the BC Institute of Technology in 2008. Attending Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2001 and Liberal Arts courses at Vancouver Island University in 1998, he honed his skills before establishing his studio in 2008. Specializing in modern sculpture, Jordy pushes boundaries with materials like steel, aluminium, copper, and bronze. His abstract installations showcase meticulous detail, exploring shape and line in series like “Triangulated,” while “Eternity Lines” presents organic, swirling forms without clear beginnings or ends, demonstrating his versatility and artistic depth.
